The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
So here we go…
After all of the emotional books I’ve read in the last week, I needed something light and funny. Yes, My Accent is Real is exactly that. I’m not far into it, but it’s like meeting a new friend and hearing his stories.
It’s kind of embarrassing how much I read in the past week. I had a lot of time to myself over the New Year’s holiday and I basically just read. That was it. I know, I’m so exciting! 😉
I started out with the sequel to The Hurricane by R.J. Prescott, The Aftermath. I’m part of The Aftermath Blog Tour and my review will post this Friday, January 8th.
I also read the fifth book in Kristan Higgins Blue Heron series, Anything for You. If you like contemporary romance, this is one of my favorite series. It’s such much fun.
Then I read Sink or Swim by Kelley R. Martin. It’s a novella and follow up to Down and Out. You can find my review for Down and Out here and Sink and Swim here.
My buddy readers from the Goodreads Young Adult Contemporary group are on a mission to read the ugly cry books from The Huffington Post’s The Ultimate List of Ugly Cry Books. We’re reading one a month and decided to start the year off with When it Rains by Lisa De Jong. Review to come. *Sobs* I also went on to read After the Rain which is a novella that continues and finishes Kate’s story. I wish the two had actually been one book! I couldn’t stop there, though. I read the entire 3 book series in the matter of two days. Watch for the reviews the next couple of weeks.
Finally, I just finished Tarryn Fisher’s F*ck Love last night. I have so much to say about this book!…but you’ll have to wait for my review.
Crazy that I read all of those, I know. I’ll have less reading time now that school is back in session, though.
I’m finally going to read one of Patrick Ness’ books! I’m so excited! I have seen so many great reviews for all of his books. I can’t wait to get started on A Monster Calls! I would have started it already, but I hear it’s sad and I needed an upbeat book before I delved into something sad again.
What are you reading next?
