New Year’s Resolutions Book Tag

Welcome to the New Year’s Resolutions Book Tag! I was tagged by the lovely Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions for this tag. If you haven’t already, please check out her blog. She does amazing reviews that always end up on my TBR list.

Get in Shape – Name a book that doesn’t quite fit on your shelf correctly.

This book doesn’t fit well because it’s the only guide book.

Eat Healthy – Name a book that was good for you to read.

“Don’t judge each other. We all have our own shit. Keep your eyes on yours and your nose out of everyone else’s unless you’re invited in. And when you get the invitation, help, don’t judge.”

“Do Epic”

“I’m not saying you shouldn’t pursue dreams and goals. Just don’t forsake the present for the unknowns of the future. A lot of happiness is bypassed, overlooked, postponed to a time years from now that may never come. Don’t bide your time and miss out on this moment for a tomorrow with no guarantee.”

-Kim Holden, Bright Side

Read More – Name a book you keep telling yourself to read but haven’t yet.

My mom gave me Wild three years ago. The font is so tiny! I haven’t been able to bring myself to read it yet. Dumb excuse, I know.

Quit Smoking – Name a book you kept going back to even though you had finished it.

This book was the first to officially mess with my mind. I’ve read it three or four times and notice something new each time. It’s the only book I’ve re-read that many times.

Save More Money – Name a book you got for a really good price.

I got Amy Harmon’s Infinity + One e-book for $0.99 on a Kindle deal.

Be More Organized – How do you organize your bookshelf?

This isn’t my entire book shelf, the picture is missing three shelves. The top one not pictured is mostly J.D. Robb’s In Death series and assorted Nora Roberts books. The second to the bottom shelf is filled with a couple of dictionaries, other reference books, special children’s books I received and some romance novels. The bottom shelf is some college text books, binders and other assorted informational stuff.

Be Punctual – Shortest time and longest time it took you to read a book.

Shortest: Tempted by a Kiss by Anna Durand because it was only 35 pages.

Longest: A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin because it was 1060 pages and I wasn’t as into the characters in this book. I missed the characters that didn’t show back up until the next book.

Go Out More – What book isolated you from reality?

I couldn’t put the Calendar Girl series by Audrey Carlan down! Each book was novella length, but all together they were around 1300 pages. It was so much fun to read.

Be Unique – What was your favorite book of 2015?

Be More Personal – What book are you most looking forward to this year?

It doesn’t have a cover yet, but A Gift of Time (Nine Minutes #3) by Beth Flynn.

Really, Resolutions – Which book do you promise to read this year?
