1.I’ve been 5’7-1/2″ tall since I was in the 5th grade. I was the tallest in my class until junior high when the boys grew.

2.I’ve reached the point in my life where more of my friends are getting divorced than getting married. It kind of sucks.

3.I just bought tickets to my high school reunion this summer, but I still haven’t decided whether I’m going or not.

4.I have one child. No, I’m not going to have anymore. It was on purpose. 🙂

5.I’ve been known to sing along to songs when I’m in the car by myself. I don’t care who might see me.

6.I used to have my belly button pierced. I miss it.

7.I may or may not have a butterfly tattoo. I refuse to confirm or deny.

The Sunshine Blogger Award

pablo (8)

This is tag is a mean reminder that rain has been forecasted for the entire week in not-so-sunny Seattle. 😦 It’s a bummer because we had three sunny, springlike days last week. I’m ready for more sun, less rain in my future. Anyways. Rain or shine, thank you to the lovely Arec @ Rainy Thursdays for nominating me for The Sunshine Blogger Award. So sweet of you!

 Rules for this award:

  • Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
  • Nominate some wonderful bloggers and write 11 questions for them to answer.

Arec’s Questions:

1.Disney or Dreamworks?

Both! (I can do that, right?)

2.Do you consider yourself a feminist?

According to Wikipedia, Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women.[1][2]This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women.”

I totally support the rights and equality of women, so I must be a feminist. I’m not out there campaigning for women, though. So maybe I’m not really sure how to answer this question.

3.Book adaptation or movie adaptation?

Book. Well, as long as the book comes first. If it was written after the movie, then forget it.

4.Do you do anything else while you are reading?

Sometimes I have music going or I am eating lunch/dinner or I am watching TV or reading on the treadmill. Depends on the day.

5.How often do you write review for books you haven’t actually finished?

Never. Well, unless it’s a DNF and I feel the need to say why for other readers.

6.If you can have one thing in the world, regardless of price, etc. what would it be?

Ooo! This is a hard one. The first thing that came to mind was a body like Britney Spears back in the day. Lol. But I like chocolate and tacos.

7.What do you think about women who don’t want to have children?

I think it’s great that they know themselves well enough to know having children isn’t for them. Having kids is hard. You have to devote part of yourself and your life to someone else for at least 18 years. That’s a big commitment. If someone doesn’t want to make it, then they shouldn’t be judged. There are a lot of people out there (men and women both) who have kids and shouldn’t.

Now, I have to admit I feel a little sad for people who choose not to have kids. There are a lot of rewarding things about having kids. I can’t imagine life now without my daughter. I think they’re missing out a little, but at the same time, being a mother or father isn’t for everyone.

8.Do you have an special talents?

I can tap dance.

9.Name one time where you have been scared out of you mind.

One time when my husband was in the hospital and they weren’t sure what was wrong with him. (Hereditary high blood pressure)

10.Do you believe in soulmates?

I don’t know. Maybe? I like to think you meet the right person at the right time in your life. Like, if I would have met my husband at 18 instead of 23, I’m not sure it would have worked out for either of us. (I can say that because I actually knew of him when I was in my teenage years.) And even though I dated some crappy people in my late teens and early twenties, without them and the experiences we had, I wouldn’t have been who I was when I met my husband. I think he’s the perfect person for me. So in that way, I think he’s my soulmate. I like to think we complete each other.

11.What is the one thing you cannot leave your house without (no cellphones please!)

A jacket with a hood. You never know when it’s going to rain in the Pacific Northwest and true Washingtonians don’t do umbrellas.

My Questions:

  1. What was the last book that shocked you?
  2. Favorite boy band?
  3. What song are you playing on repeat lately?
  4. What book are most anxiously waiting for?
  5. What is your favorite kind of potato chip?
  6. Who is the first person you would call after meeting your favorite author?
  7. What was the last book you read that you absolutely loved?
  8. If you could have any job, what would it be?
  9. Who is your favorite TV character?
  10. What is the last book that made you laugh out loud?
  11. Do you believe in ghosts? UFOs? Aliens?

One Lovely Blog Award

I was nominated by the lovely Lila @ The Bookkeeper’s Secrets for the One Lovely Blog Award. If you haven’t already checked out her blog, you should! You can read some interesting facts about her in her One Lovely Blog Award post here. Thank you for the nomination, Lila!

  • You must thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
  • You must list the rules and display the award.
  • You must add 7 facts about yourself.
  • You must nominate 10 – 15 or so other bloggers

  1. My first car was a silver Plymouth Acclaim. It’s the same thing as a Dodge Spirit. Very uncool. I really wanted a Honda Civic or Prelude.
  2. The first thing my college roommate asked me when we met was if I was going to rush a sorority…because I was blonde. I think she was hoping for the room to herself. We’re still friends.
  3. I hate flying on airplanes. I have to constantly remind myself that my best friend used to be a flight attendant and flew multiple times a day with no problems.
  4. I should be cleaning my house right now because I’m throwing a birthday party for my daughter tomorrow, but I’m internetting instead.
  5. I love photos. I put up as many as I can around my house. I think I might be officially out of wall space to add more. I love looking at the smiling faces of people I love and remembering amazing moments.
  6. I’m addicted to listening to Sam Hunt right now. I can’t get enough of his country-rap style. It reminds me a lot of Ed Sheeran. I’m also obsessed with his music.
  7. The household chore I dislike the most is loading/unloading the dishwasher. I feel like I do it everyday. Laundry is a close second. The folding/hanging up part sucks.

I’m going to go ahead and tag some newer to me bloggers. I’ve been enjoying reading their posts. If you’ve already been nominated or just don’t want to do it, feel free to ignore. 😉

Siblinghood of the World Bloggers Award (The one where I don’t tag anyone.)

Hi, guys! I’m back again with another award tag. I’ve done this one a couple of times already, so I’m not going to take anyone this time. I’m just going to say thank you to the amazing The Bookkeeper’s Secrets for nominating me and answer their questions. 🙂 You can read their award post here.

Here we go!

The Rules:

I’m going to include the rules in case anyone wants to do their own post and nominate their favorite blogs. I crossed out the ones I’m not following. Sorry, Siblinghood!

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog
  • Put the award logo on your blog
  • Answer the 10 questions sent to you
  • Make up 10 new questions for your nominees to answer
  • Nominate 10 blogs

The Bookkeeper’s Secrets’ Questions for Me:

1)What’s the first item on your bucket list?

I don’t really have a bucket list. If I found out I was going to die soon, I would probably try to write a bunch of letters to my daughter (she’s 7) for the important events in her life. And then I’d get drunk and go dancing.

2)What is your bookish dream?

To be paid to read would be awesome.

3)Coke or pepsi?

Neither. I don’t drink pop. That stuff is baaaad for you. Although, I have to admit a rootbeer is yummy every once in a while.

4)What is your favorite underhyped book?

Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn. READ.IT.PEOPLE!!!!!!!

5)You’re stranded on a desert island. Which book character do you want with you?

Katniss Everdeen. Girl has skills. She’s already proven she can live through the Hunger Games.

6)What’s the last thing that made you really smile in genuine joy?

My daughter makes me smile every time I look at her, but I did have a ton of fun last Saturday night at a 40th birthday party. I know I was all smiles.

Oh, and today my daughter told me this joke that made me smile:

Her: Do you want to hear a joke about pizza?

Me: Sure!

Her: It’s cheesy!

7)What’s your patronus? Why?

Can it be a bookworm?

8)What’s the dorkiest thing you’ve ever done?

I once accidentally drove the wrong way down a one way street and yelled, “I love me!” Luckily, it was a Sunday morning and no one was coming at me.

9)Would you rather be a queen or a king?

A queen? Hopefully, I would avoid all the tough decisions and stuff that the king has to deal with.

10)Do you like hedgehogs?

Sure, why not. They’re cute.

Infinity Dreams Award: Valentine’s Edition

Thank you to Arec @ Rainy Thursdays for nominating me for The Infinity Dreams Award. You can find Arec’s post for the award here.

Since tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day, I decided to make this a Valentine’s Edition of The Infinity Dreams Award. All my facts/answers will be love or romance related.

The Rules:

  • Thank and Link the blog that nominated you
  • Tell us 11 facts about yourself
  • Answer the questions that were set for you to answer
  • Nominate 11 bloggers and set questions for them

11 Romance Related Facts About Me:

1)My first boyfriend’s name was when I was 14. He once gave me a charm necklace for Valentine’s Day. I was “going out” with him for eighth and ninth grade. (Am I the only one who remembers it being called “going out”?) I might have broken his heart at the beginning of our sophomore year of high school.

2)I’ve had my heart broken 3 times. First, when I was 16. It was a short summer romance.

3)My second broken heart was at 18. The guy’s name was Cash. (No, I’m not kidding. That was actually his real name.) When he broke up with me, he told me I was marriage material and he was just looking for a good time. (Um…okay?)

4)The third guy to break my heart broke it when I was 20…and 21…and 22. I let him break it off and on a lot. He did give me roses and a box of chocolate for the first Valentine’s Day after I met him, which is funny because it was like a week after we met. Maybe that should have been a clue of what was to come.

5)I haven’t had my heart broken since I was 22. It helps that I started dating my husband when I was 23.

6)We dated 6 years before we got married. Our wedding anniversary is 3 days after Valentine’s Day, so my husband usually gives me flowers for the combined holidays.

7)As you can tell, I have a good memory. I am able to remember all sorts of things my husband can’t. He likes to tell me thing so that I can remember them for him.

8)The first dance song at my wedding was When You Say Nothing At All by Allison Krauss. I think it’s such a sweet song and her voice is so airy and pretty. Plus, it fits how I feel about my hubby. He’s freakin’ awesome.

“When You Say Nothing At All”

It’s amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don’t say a thing

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There’s a truth in your eyes sayin’ you’ll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you’ll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear people talking out loud
But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd
Old Mr. Webster could never define
What’s being said between your heart and mine

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There’s a truth in your eyes sayin’ you’ll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you’ll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There’s a truth in your eyes sayin’ you’ll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you’ll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all

9)I love love songs — ones from the 80’s and 90’s are my favorite. I would have picked one for the first dance at my wedding, but I couldn’t find the right one so I went with country.

10)I think Valentine’s Day is too commercialized, but I still get my kiddo a Valentine’s gift every year. She loves it.

Arec’s Questions:

Oromance related. ;)Sorry for adding a little somethin’ somethin’ to your questions, but like I said, Valentine’s Edition!

1)Do you remember the book that really got you into reading?

Nora Robert’s romance The Villa was the first book that really got my interested in reading as an adult.

2)Are you also a writer or do you enjoy reading just someone else’s stories?

I wish I was a romance writer, but I’m not. 😦 I’m stuck reading other people’s stories.

3)Why did you start your blog?

To share my love of reading romances with others.

4)Do you listen to audio books?

I used to listen to romances and other genres when I commuted 45 minutes to and from work every day. Now, not so much.

5)What is the one genre you will never touch?

Ugh. It’s not that I won’t touch it, but I do not like student-teacher romances.

6)How do you feel about the book blogging community?

I love it!

7) Do you remember Goodreads book swap program?

No. I bet they swapped romance books, huh?

8)What other hobbies do you have besides reading and blogging?

I’m pretty boring. I have a few TV shows I like to watch — romantic comedies are my favorite. I like to ride my beach cruiser with my family. Camping. Boating.

9)What would your dream job be?

Reading romances for a living. Wouldn’t we all love to be paid to read?

10)Do you have an special talents?

I can tap dance. I’m sure I could do it to a love song.

The Liebster Award (How Many Times Am I Allowed To Accept?)

I know what you’re thinking. Haven’t you been nominated and accepted the Liebster Award like 4 times already? Yes. Yes, I have.

I can’t help it. I can’t not accept a nomination from a friendly blogger — especially when it comes with fun, weird questions to answer. I’m a sucker for random questions! So, here we go again.

A BIG thank you to The Orang-utan Librarian for nominating me!

What you have to do when you accept the Liebster Nomination:

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you.
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
  • Nominate 11 bloggers that you think are deserving of the award.
  • Let the bloggers know you nominated them.
  • Give them 11 questions of your own.

The Orang-utan Librarian’s Super Fun Questions:

1)I’m stealing Nut Free Nerd’s Question- put your music on shuffle- what comes up?

Oh! It’s an oldie, but goodie! Yay!

2)What’s your favourite Disney song?

Umm…I can tell you what it’s not. Let It Go from Frozen. I’ve heard it WAY too much since that movie came out. Blame it on my 7-year-old.

3)Who’s your favourite Disney villain?

Cruella De Vil. She looks all sort of crazy.

4)What’s the weirdest book you’ve ever read?

I don’t know what the all time weirdest book I’ve ever read is, but the most current weirdest book is F*ck Love by Tarryn Fisher.

5)Who’s your oddest book crush?

Garrett Graham from Elle Kennedy’s The Deal. I honestly didn’t realize how weird it was to crush on this guy until Joey @ Thoughts and Afterthoughts pointed out Garrett’s downfalls to me. Thanks, Joey! 😉

6)What’s the best excuse you’ve ever given?

The best excuse…I don’t know if I should admit this or not. It’s not one excuse but many, and it wasn’t one I made for myself. My best friend used to call me from Washington when I was going to college in Arizona to have me help her come up with lies  excuses. Evidently, I can come up with some very real sounding excuses. We always thought it was funny because I’m not one to lie and my excuses were the most believable.

7)What’s the worst job interview question you’ve ever had? If you’ve never had a job interview- what’s the most random question you’ve ever been asked? (not including this one)

It’s been (gasp) 15 years since I last interviewed for a job, so my memory is a little rusty. The only question I can even remember was being asked what the National School Lunch Program’s free and reduced lunch qualifications are based on. I pulled the answer out of nowhere and got it right.

8)What is your favorite sport? (either to watch or play)

Play: basketball.

Watch: my daughter’s soccer and basketball games and the Seattle Supersonics basketball games. (BRING BACK THE SONICS!!!!!) Oh! And I can’t forget my Seahawks. Go HAWKS!!!

9)What’s the best bad thing you’ve ever eaten? (aka a desert that was so disgustingly bad that you felt guilty but delighted about having eaten it)

Can I just go with the last best bad thing I’ve eaten? I went to a 40th birthday party last night. They had these super yummy cupcakes from Hello, Cupcake in Tacoma. It was to die for!

10)Write a poem detailing your love for your favourite food.

Peanut! Peanut butter! And Jelly! Peanut! Peanut butter! And Jelly!….

Yes, I know that’s a kid’s camp song. I just couldn’t come up with anything on my own. Lol. And I do love me a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Kid for life.

11)Okay, at the risk of making this all about food, would you rather only ever be able to eat your favorite food for the rest of your life or eat whatever you want *except* your favourite food?

Eat whatever I want. I can always find a new favorite food.

You’re awesome, so you’re nominated:

Alex @ Alextheshadowgirl’s Blog

Claire @ Art and Soul

Giselle @ Hardwork Boulevard

Jenna @ Reading with Jenna

Jesse @ Books at Dawn

Jessica @ Mud and Stars

Joey @ Thoughts and Afterthoughts

Kat @ Life and Other Disasters

(I know most of you guys have probably already done this one. Sorry, not sorry. 😉 You are more than welcome to ignore it. I won’t be mad.)

And even if I didn’t nominate you this time, you’re still awesome!

My Questions:

1)What is the weirdest thing you and your best friend have ever done together?

2)What is your favorite song from the 1980’s?

3)If you wrote a memoir about yourself, what would the name of it be?

6)If you could be one book character, who would it be?

7)Come up with a pop star alias for yourself.

8)What is your biggest grammatical error pet peeve?

9)If you could go live in a country other than your home country, what would it be and where exactly in that country?

10)What’s your favorite song right now?

11)What’s your least favorite book genre?

The Liebster Award

I’ve been nominated for The Liebster Award in the past, but I was recently nominated again by Caron @ Diminishing Thoughts. I always find it fun to answer other blogger’s random questions, so I decided to go ahead and accept the nomination again.

Thank you, Caron! It was an honor to be nominated by you. 🙂

The rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you.
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
  • Nominate 11 bloggers that you think are deserving of the award.
  • Let the bloggers know you nominated them.
  • Give them 11 questions of your own.

Caron’s Questions:

1. What inspires you?

So many things inspire me: music, art, a book with an inspirational message, quotes, my friends, people who do amazing and selfless things.

2. Who’s your favorite character in a book (not necessarily your favorite book)?

Hmm…This past year it’s been Kate from Bright Side. (It’s one of those books with an inspirational message.) I’m still waiting for another character to come along and affect me the same way.

3. What got you started on reading?

My mom. She was a grade school teacher for 30+ years. She taught me the importance of reading in life.

4. Who is your bookish role model (author/blogger/etc)?

I don’t know if I have just one. There are so many authors who inspire me with their creativity and beautiful writing ability. I wish I could be so creative! As for blogger, I like to think every one of you inspires me. Each of you have a little trait that I wish I had.

5. If your favourite book were a sandwich, what sandwich would it be (name your favourite book too)?

I hate it when people make me choose my favorite book because it changes yearly. If you read my blog regularly, you know I’m going to pick Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn. The sandwich would be called Cook’s Surprise because it’s all about the surprise twists and turns with this book.

6. If you could choose one book world to live in, what would it be?

I would definitely want to live in Kate and Gus’ Bright Side world. I love their laid back attitudes and lifestyle.

7. Favourite TV show based off a book (or vice versa)?

I don’t have one. I don’t think I watch a TV show based off a book right now. I do want to check out Shadowhunters and The Magician at some point, though.

8. What is your favorite genre?

Romance. If I had to narrow it down even further, I’d say New Adult.

9. Bookstore or library?

Honestly, bookstore. But realistically, library.

10. What was the last book you read?

Appealed by Emma Chase

11. Preferred reading spot and/or position?

The recliner in my family room. So comfy!

Beautiful Blogger Award

Thank you to Ari @ The Daydreaming Bookworm for nominating A Novel Glimpse for the Beautiful Blogger Award! If you haven’t already checked out Ari’s blog, you should. It’s amazing.

The Rules:

  • Link your award post to the blogger who nominated you.
  • List 7 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 7 beautiful, creative bloggers and notify them.

7 Random Facts You Never Knew You Wanted to Know About Me:

1.I have not bungee jumped, but in my early 20’s my boyfriend (now husband) and I did the Primal Swing off a bridge in Nanaimo, BC. It was freaking scary and I will never do it again!

2.I faint when I get hurt. No joke. It’s kind of embarrassing. I had a doctor tell me I was just a wuss once. I proved her wrong after an ER visit/hospital stay. Turns out I have a condition that causes it. So ha!

3.I got a butterfly tattoo on one side of my lower back when I was 19. It is not a “tramp stamp.” I swear. I got it way before tramp stamps were even a thing. Plus, I’ve never been a tramp. Lol. (Yes, I passed out when getting it.) I also got my belly button pierced when I was 19. Sadly, it went bye-bye when I was pregnant. (Yes, I also passed out–multiple times–after getting it pierced. Not a great decision on my part, but I loved it!)

4.I constantly find myself talking about myself in third person thanks to becoming a mom. “Mom needs to…blah, blah, blah.” It annoys me and I wish I could stop!

5.I want to make my best friend go see the movie Fifty Shades of Black with me. I think it looks like a hilarious spoof. (Probably way better than the original!)

6.I’m  addicted to listening to Sam Hunt’s music right now. I like his country-rap style. He’s like the Ed Sheeran of country, if that makes sense.

7.Sometimes I miss the freedom of my early 20’s. It felt like there was always something new and exciting going on. Life has definitely gotten routine.

And because you’re beautiful…I nominate:

The Sunshine Blogger Award

pablo (8)

I was recently nominated for The Sunshine Blogger Award. Thank you Jessica @ Mud and Stars for the nomination! It was very sweet of her to think of me! If you haven’t checked out her blog, you should!

The Rules:

  1. Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Nominate some wonderful bloggers.
  3. Write 11 questions for them.

Jessica’s questions for the me:

1.If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, which book would you choose?

It would have to be a choose your own adventure book because then I could read the same book with several different outcomes.

2.If you were stranded on a desert island, which 5 fictional characters would you most like to be stuck there with?

Kate & Gus from Bright Side because they’re super cool and they would help me stay positive. Kaz from Six of Crows because he would find a way off the island. And Kaz would need Inej and Nina to help, of course.

3.Which Hogwarts House are you in?

According to the Almighty Guru Harry Potter House Sorting Quiz, I am a Hufflepuff.

4.Who is your least favorite main character of a book and why?

Nick from Gone Girl. I just didn’t like him. He was so sketchy.

5.What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?

There are ton. I hate admitting this. Most recently it was when I took my daughter to a birthday party. I didn’t know anyone and was making small talk with another parent I didn’t know. She was going on and on about her amicable divorce. I have never been divorced so I was comparing it to a friend’s amicable divorce. I ended up realizing at the end of the day that my friend’s old neighbors were also there and most likely heard everything I said. No big deal except they’re friends with my friend’s ex. At least I didn’t say anything bad — just more than I should have. Lesson learned.

6.What is the weirdest dream you have ever had?

When I was a kid I dreamt I was being chased by the Tootsie Pop owl. It was freakin’ scary! “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop…”

7.Which book do you wish you had written?

I would love to have been witty and creative enough to have written just about any book!

8.Have you ever met anyone famous, and how did you react? If not, who would you most like to meet and how you do think you would cope with it?

I went to school with Heather from the 80’s Christian music duo Heather and Kirsten. They had an album and also sang the national anthem at a ton of major sporting events. They even recently sang the national at a Seahawks game. Does that count?

I also went to junior high with ex-NBA player Michael Dickerson (he was older and I didn’t know him). I also helped him with a bank transaction when in college when I was a teller. I also sat next to NBA player Brian Scalabrine in Speech class at Highline Community College (I actually talked to him and he said he was going to play bball at UCLA, but I didn’t realize he was really good). Those probably don’t count either.

Or how about one of the girl’s mom’s on my daughter’s soccer team is old friends with Kevin Federline’s wife? That’s just like knowing KFed and Britney, right? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

My sister’s husband’s co-worker’s daughter is Seahawks player Ricardo Lockette’s girlfriend. I was in a book group with the co-worker for a while. Yeah, that doesn’t count either.

I have seen a ton of famous people during fight weekends in Vegas (Mario Lopez, Eva Longoria, Mike Tyson, Ludacris, etc.) but I was never close enough to react to them.

So, yeah, I really got nothing.

Oh, wait! I did shake Al Gore’s hand at a book signing my BFF drug me to years ago and I have met Washington’s Governor, Jay Inslee. My BFF works for him so I said hi and stuff. I’m lame.

9.Which TV shows are you addicted to?

So You Think You Can Dance, The Blacklist, The Big Bang Theory, Scream Queens, The Voice, The Mindy Project

10.What were your first words?

No clue. Sorry. My mom didn’t write it in my baby book. I checked.

11.If you had another blog, what would you blog about?

Mommy stuff probably.

Dragon’s Loyalty Award

Thank you to the lovely Michelle @ Mishi Reads for nominating me for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award. You can check out her award post here.

1. Display the award on your blog.
2. Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who awarded you.
3. Present 6 deserving bloggers with the award.
4. Link your awardees in the post and let them know of their being awarded.
5. Write seven interesting things about you.

1. I’m not a big fan of snow. I don’t really like to be cold and it makes me nervous to drive in it.

2. My husband makes fun of me for watching “teenager” T.V. shows. It started when I got hooked on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, continued when I loved Glee and still goes on now that I like to watch Scream Queens. (Hey, I need a way to feel younger!)

3. I don’t like a lot of white, creamy foods. I hate sour cream, cream cheese and mayonnaise. I do like whipped cream, though!

4. I love volunteering in my daughter’s classroom and getting to meet all of the kids she talks about.

5. I used to scrapbook a lot. I haven’t for the past year or so and I’m so far behind! I’m considering slapping my un-scrapped photos into albums just to be done with it.

6. I once yelled “I love me!” when accidentally turning the wrong direction down a one-way street in Bellingham, Washington. Luckily, it was a Sunday and no one was driving down the street. My best friend thought it was so funny that saying “I love me” is still our thing.

7. When I was a kid, my mom signed me up for both calligraphy and sewing lessons. I haven’t done either of those things since. I am going to try sewing again soon, though.

I’m going to nominate some blogs I’ve recently started following:

The Orang-utan Librarian

Kat @ Life and Other Disasters

Karen @ I’m Usually Reading

Lashaan & Trang @ BOOKIDOTE

Feel free to ignore the nomination if you’ve already done it before or don’t like to participate in awards or tags. 😉
